New Skillion Roof for Tarella Cottage

At long last, we are proceeding with a new skillion roof on Tarella. In place since the 1890’s, the old back roof has many short panels of overlapping tin which have thinned and dislodged. Hence, water has been leaking through and damaging the cottage ceilings beneath. Plans have been in place for a long time but Covid-19 caused delays.

On Tuesday December 7th a very wide truck managed to reverse through the gates to deliver long lengths of new roofing. It’s now all systems go! …. weather permitting!

There were just millimeters to spare as the truck very slowly reversed through the gate.

Wayne is a happy man to see this project getting underway. Linsi too!

These full lengths will replace all those short sheets and leaks will end!

THERE WILL BE MORE NEWS ABOUT THIS PROJECT.
