On Thursday 17 November, The Blue Mountains City Council conducted a Senior’s Expo at the Cultural Centre in Katoomba between 10am and 2pm.
The Blue Mountains Historical Society was well represented by Fiona Burn and Robyne Ridge, who set up a table with Society publications, pamphlets, old copies of Hobby’s Outreach, photos of the Society, postcards and information about membership.
Approximately 50 people stopped at the BMHS table throughout and talked to Robyne and Fiona about the work of the Society.
The day was well attended with most community organisations participating.
The Katoomba Men’s Club band performed during the day.
BM City Council provided morning tea and Rotary organised a Sausage Sizzle for lunch.
The event was well organised by Prue Hardgrove, Aged and Disabilities Services Development Organise for the Council.. Thank you for your hard work, Prue, which gave organisations like ours the opportunity to share what we do.
