AGM and monthly talk – Tarella and the story of the Mclaughlin’s (Robyne Ridge)

Meeting and Public Talk – Keith Maxwell talk – Bushwalking and WW2 Bushwalkers

Keith will be speaking to his book "Splendour Rock" which delves into the history of bushwaking and the bushwalkers who served during WW2. Splendour Rock is the memorial to tho servicemen located in the Wild Dog Mountains. The memorial site was chosen because the eyes here are drawn to the glory of Kanangra Walls.

A chance find of a Niagara Pharmacy Prescription Envelope, and a request for an Aspro Box from Greenwell and Thomas Pharmacy to place in a Carrington Hotel Menu Display, lead to Paul Innes discovering a History of Katoomba Pharmacies – a story of their owners, the products they sold, and their place in Katoomba’s Community.
