This excursion will focus on the history of troopers, police, convicts and bushrangers in the colony between Springwood and Mt York. Details of the specific places to be visited will be posted nearer the date.
Members will visit a number of sites of significance providing water supplies to the Blue Mountains including the Cascade Dams and other smaller dams such as the one at Woodford. The excursion may include a visit to Warragamba Dam.
The excursion will visit Camden Historical Museum, Belgenny Farm and other sites associated with John McArthur.
This excursion will visit the Fire Museum in Penrith followed by a tour of the Winmalee Fire ground and the RFS Station with a guide from the Winmalee RFS museum. Lunch will be at the Springwood Sporting Club.

We will visit a selection of interesting locations in Penrith. These may include the Printer History Museum, Australia Arms Museum, John Jamison House, St Stephens Anglican Church, Lewers Gallery and the first Methodist Chursh in Australia at Castlereagh.
