June/July Hobby’s Outreach and Membership

HOBBY’S OUTREACH JUNE/JULY 2024 EDITION

The digital version of the latest Blue Mountains Historical Society’s Hobby’s Outreach Newsletter was emailed to members today.

It contains several interesting stories and the abridged President’s Report from our 2024 AGM, as well as our Upcoming Events diary and other information for members.

We hope you like the slightly modernised format.

Remember, our editor, Erik Halbert, is always looking for interesting articles to include in Hobby’s Outreach. If you have an interesting historical story you’d like to share, please contact Erik. His details are in the newsletter.

The paper copy of the Hobby’s Outreach will be posted home on June 3 2024.

MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL FOR 2024/25

Also forwarded in the email was a digital copy of the 2024/25 membership renewal form.

Our membership year runs from the beginning of July to the end of June each year.

We would really appreciate it if members could renew their membership for 2024/25 over the next few weeks.

Your continued support of the Society by maintaining your membership is very greatly valued. Quite simply, without your help in this regard, the Society would not be able to exist.

IMPORTANT BREAKING NEWS RE MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL AND OUR WEBSITE.

You are now reading this post on our new Website which just went on line this week.

We invite you to spend a little time exploring the site.

One of the features of the new website is that members can renew their membership and pay their annual fee online in the new website rather than completing the old paper Membership Renewal Form.

The following link will take you directly to the membership page of the website:  https://bluemountainshistory.com/society-membership/

Just complete the form, press submit and the form will be sent to the Society and you will be directed to the payment process through our new online Shop.

We hope that this will make it much easier for members to renew their membership. If you can renew using the online form and payment process, it would also greatly help our record keeping.

Prospective new members can also use the same online process to join the Society.

Please encourage friends and relatives who are interested in History to join our Society to help research and preserve the historical stories of the Blue Mountains

Please check out the new website while you’re there. There is still much to do to add new material, which we hope to do on a more regular basis. As well, we hope to keep the online Events sections and other information about the Society’s activities up to date.

The new online Shop also allows visitors to the website to purchase books, posters, etc., online.

We hope you enjoy reading the latest Hobby’s Outreach and look forward to receiving your membership renewal.
