Membership benefits include, in part

  • Monthly meetings and talks – no charge
  • Tarella monthly open day – no charge
  • Access to the Society’s records for research purposes
  • Access to the borrowing library
  • Opportunity to participate in excursions
  • Assisting with IT support

Regular Monthly meetings and talks take place on the last Saturday of each month from February to November. These take place in the Society’s Meeting Room. Occasionally, the presentation will take form of a Zoom presentation.

Excursions of historical interest take place most months. These are advertised through news bulletins and the Society newsletter, Hobby’s Outreach, which is published every 2 month.

Members who wish to become involved in the running of the Society can volunteer to assist by, amongst other things:

  • Researching requests from the general public
  • Cataloguing documents, photographs and artefacts held by the Society
  • Maintaining the Society’s buildings and grounds
  • Catering (ie serving tea/coffee) at meetings and open days
  • Guiding visitors through Tarella on the monthly open days
  • Or simply enjoy socialising with fellow members

Renewal Fees
Renewals are due on the 1st July each year, regardless of joining date.
Individual $30, Family $50, Corporate $70 – for full 12 month period.

New members are welcome to join at any time. Discounts for the first year’s membership apply for those joining later during the annual membership period.
