The WordPress Block editor in use for the BMHS web site has a lot of options for embedding video from sites like YouTube and Vimeo.

You can also embed a video file that you have stored on your Google Drive but it is a bit more complicated……

      • 1- Go to your Google Drive (click on the 9 dots up the top right of your Gmail)
      • 2- Upload the video file and then when it is finished double click on the file to play it.
      • 3- Up the top right top side of the video which should be playing click on the three dots.
      • 4- Select “Open in New Window” from the drop-down menu which appears.
      • 5- Once again the video will appear and once again click on the three dots up on the right side top.
      • 6- From the drop-down menu which appears select “Embed item”.
      • 7- You will then see the iframe code for your video.
      • 8- You will need to copy this code and then insert it into the web page you are editing (or creating).
      • 9- When you are in the WordPress page editor,  click the + sign up the top left to add a new block and scroll down to select “Custom HTML”  and paste the code into this new block.
      • 10- Once you update or publish, your page the video should be there! Here is a useful video on how to do this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEMGACNfgh4  *** Note that the video is using the old wordpress editor. If you are following this video switch to instruction #9 above when you are ready to embed the code in your web page.
