Tarella Open Day – Sunday November 26 2023

November 26 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

On Sunday 26 November 2023, from 10.00am to 3.00pm (last entry at 2.45 pm), Blue Mountains Historical Society’s Tarella Cottage and Museum will be open to the public at 99 Blaxland Road, Wentworth Falls. This is the last Open Day of “Tarella” for 2023.

Although it began as a holiday home to the McLaughlin family in the 1890s, “Tarella” eventually became a full-time home as mountain-life attracted Mrs McLaughlin and her two daughters.

This will also be the final showing of the Pomp and Circumstance exhibition. If you’ve not seen it, you must come. You can even hear Queen Elizabeth II as she spoke to spectators at Echo Point in 1954.

Our Hobby’s Reach History Research Centre, and it’s facilities and resources, is also open for inspection.

You’re very welcome to browse in the Research Rooms while enjoying morning or afternoon tea.

Entry: Adults $5.00; Children $2.00. Tea, coffee and biscuits available for $5.
