Tarella Cottage – Open Day and “Pomp and Circumstance” Exhibition

May 28 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

On Sunday 28 May, from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm (last entry at 2.45 pm), Tarella Cottage will be open to the public.

The Blue Mountains Historical Society invites you to visit our 19th Century cottage at 99 Blaxland Road, Wentworth Falls and to explore our grounds and facilities.

The Society also invites you to “Pomp and Circumstance: The Royal Celebrations & Blue Mountains Connections” exhibition, which is being held in the Exhibition Room in Tarella Cottage.

Come along and listen to the voice of Queen Elizabeth II as she delivers again, thanks to modern technology, the speech she made to the people of Katoomba in 1954.

This exhibition will explore the connections between the royal family and the Blue Mountains since Prince Albert visited in 1868. Photographs, books and individual items, even a tea towel souvenir of the 1954 royal tour, will be on display.

Entry to Tarella: Adults $5.00; Children $2.00. There is no additional charge for entry to the Exhibition.   Morning and afternoon teas available, $5.00.
