Dr Michael Bennett is a Sydney-based historian working in native title and Aboriginal cultural heritage. His book Pathfinders: A History of Aboriginal Trackers in NSW was published in 2020. Dr Bennett’s passion for Aboriginal history began when growing up in Dubbo and hearing stories about the phenomenal feats of tracker Alec Riley.
