Public Meeting and Talk – Saturday 4 February

February 4 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

On Saturday 4 February 2023, the Blue Mountains Historical Society will hold its next public meeting and talk commencing at 10.30 am at the History Research Rooms at 99 Blaxland Road, Wentworth Falls.

Our speaker, Mr W (Bill) Boldiston, will share with his audience the history of early motor racing in NSW.

Bill will tell us about early brands, the models, their owners, race records and distance trials. He will tell us about the early speedways and racing tracks, including Maroubra and Catalina.

Bill, who lives in Leura, is a Mountain’s identity who needs no introduction. He is well known to us all, especially through his years in Katoomba and Medlow Bath, where he ran a memorable restaurant.

Come along on Saturday and learn all about our early motor-racing industry.

Tea and coffee are available for a gold-coin donation from 9.45 am. Entry to the talk is free to members, $5.00 for non-members.
