Public Meeting and Talk – Robyne Ridge

June 3 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

On Saturday 3 June 2023, the Blue Mountains Historical Society will hold its next public meeting and talk commencing at 10.30 am at the History Research Rooms at 99 Blaxland Road, Wentworth Falls.

Our speaker, Mrs Robyne Ridge, will share with her audience the story of the Buff Books produced by the society, and the tall tales and true behind those books.

Robyne retired to Medlow Bath after many years of teaching in Orange, NSW, both as the Head of English/History and Head of Boarding at Kinross Wolaroi School. She is Vice-President and Publicity Officer of the Blue Mountains Historical Society and is very interested in researching local history.

She has written two successful grammar work books aimed at NAPLAN but these days focuses on the history of the Blue Mountains, from the Nepean to Lithgow, as she searches for interesting stories and photos.

Come along on Saturday 3rd as Robyne shares some of those images and stories with you.

Tea and coffee are available for a gold-coin donation from 10.00 am. Entry to the talk is free to members, $5.00 for non-members.
