Bill Phippen will talk about the life of Kathleen M Butler who, for many years, worked along side the NSW government engineer, John Bradfield, as his Confidential Secretary. Bradfield is often called the Father of Modern Sydney because of his role in building the Sydney Harbour Bridge, railways and other major works. Butler worked closely with and contributed significantly to his achievements.
